Indian Head Massage

As the name suggests, Indian Head Massage (IHM) has its origins in India and dates back to 600BC. Originally used as a grooming technique in India, it has been developed in the West and is now a popular complementary therapy used for many different reasons and can be performed anywhere. Oils can be massaged into hair to strengthen, condition and create a luxurious texture.

Most people only worry about their hair’s health when it starts to look dry or thin. When the body is subjected to ill health or stress, the hair is often affected and can become dry. Menopause can also dry the hair and hair loss is common. Healthy hair should be promoted from childhood and this is a great treatment for little ones too.

How often?

Once a month as a preventative works well for most clients and I suggest once a week for 6 weeks, if there is a problem to solve and this can be extended to 12 week weekly where needed.
